What Does A B-2 Bomber, Stripes On A Runway, & A Racetrack Mean In A Dream?

Did you know that there are times in your life when you will receive more dreams than at other times? Not only that but, the types of dreams you get will change based on your personal circumstances and whether or not you are progressing in God’s plan for your life properly. Recently, I’ve been through a whole cycle of that and now my dreams have changed in such a way that the kind I’m getting are what I would consider much more interesting. One of the rather intriguing dreams I’ve had recently is the one you can read about below (exactly as the title indicates). Here’s the dream, what I understood it to mean, and how it was an answer to my prayer from the day before…

B-2 Bomber Dream

June 14, 2023 – I’m at a military base where B-2 bombers operate. I’m looking at the runway and I see two rectangular boxes with many thin stripes painted horizontally inside them. Next, I’m getting a ride in the B-2 and we are flying low over the runway where I see those stripes again. The runway is in the shape of a racetrack (oval) and the pilot is flying around it in that same shape. After passing over the main section of the runway, the pilot makes steep banks and high angle climbing turns repeatedly as if practicing landings.

At first, I really did not know what this dream meant. It was not until the meaning of one symbol finally made sense (a code breaking clue) and the rest of the interpretation came along rather quickly. As that happened, I also realized the dream was an answer to a prayer I had made within only the last 12 hours or so.

Here are the meanings of the main symbols; in the next section below the relevant Bible passages that apply to each…

  • Runway / repeated landings = speaking as a pilot myself, pilots often perform repeated landings for the purpose of practicing accuracy and staying current according to pilot requirements; Biblically this is very much like meditating on God’s word (which is to repeatedly read and speak passages over and over again for the purpose of improving our effectiveness).
  • Racetrack = further elaborating on the above… to go around and around repeatedly in cycles is the same as meditating (speaking words in repetition); this also represents working out, as a runner works out for a race or as an aircraft doing repeat landings, so the pilot improves each time.
  • Stripes / lines = (this was the single code breaking clue) this represents the word of God (line upon line) and slight similarity to “captains bars” (touchdown zone markings) on runways which exist for the purpose of indicating a landing aim point for the pilot.
  • B-2 “Spirit” bomber = in general, aircraft represent various aspects of the spiritual realm; military aircraft represent spiritual war; bombers represent an overpowering spiritual force, the power of God, enforcement actions, destructive power over the enemy, and victory in battle (see additional article links at bottom about the meaning of various types of aircraft); also note that the official name of the jet is “Spirit”, and the fact it is a stealth aircraft, further indicates this is about spiritual matters.
  • Steep climbing turns = this is a lesser important detail but it serves to emphasize and confirm the “power” element since only high performance aircraft with large engines (power) can do this type of maneuver as seen in the dream.

Real Life Circumstances

In this case, I prefer to omit a clear description of what was going on at the time of the dream. Let’s just say that there were some evil situations going on for a very long time and I finally decided to get serious about praying and decreeing that the wickedness be removed immediately.

Part of my prayer included a question about what I needed to do in order to get rapid and effective results. I understood that this dream was the answer to my question. That puts the purpose of the dream into the category of an instruction or mentoring. After I got the interpretation of the dream, I realized the need to take the time to consider how to apply the meaning to my circumstances so that I could have what I asked for in my prayer the day before.

Regarding the making of decrees as a king in God’s kingdom… I realized that I needed to think through exactly how to make them so that I would be acting in accordance with God’s nature. If I were to go off making decrees in a manner not consistent with the above, I would end up wasting my time and effort because God would not back me up. This realization also served as part of my answer about how to handle the evil situation in order to get the fastest and most effective results.

Next Steps?

If you’re new to the method of Biblical dream interpretation, this blog was a good illustration for how to do that. Along with that, there are certain types of dreams that are considered “common” because of how frequently most people get them. As you probably guessed… dreams of aircraft are just one of many types of common dreams.
