In the midst of my recent research into artificial intelligence, I got a very nice surprise. I had been looking for an AI chatbot feature to help visitors to my website find quick answers based on the content of my nearly 150 blogs. What I did not know was that there is already a free option available right now. In this blog are multiple examples of what the built-in WordPress AI can do for you if you need somewhat useful/reliable answers based on my written content – without having to read all my blogs. For each answer I received, I give an accuracy rating so you can know what to expect when you use this feature. I believe you will find this very informative!

Artificial Intelligence Capabilities & Limitations

I am currently experimenting with a built in (WordPress) artificial intelligence chatbot feature that is intended to help you find content on my website. Here is what you need to know about this new experimental feature…

This is new developmental technology that is in the process of being trained.
So far I have noticed that the accuracy rate is fairly good, about 70% on average.
But, not all responses will be accurate; if you get an answer that does not sound right, do your own searching through my articles to see what I have actually written.
It is common for some AI chatbots to “hallucinate“, which means they may give answers that have nothing to do with website content which they are supposed to be using for their answers. (ie: AI may make up answers that contradict the information on my website).
One of the basic tenets of artificial intelligence is that it is always learning. Expect the chatbot to improve according to the number of people who use it.
There may be a way to give direct feedback to the chatbot regarding the accuracy of its answers using a thumbs up or thumbs down. Please make use of this feature for every response you receive.

Here is now a list of questions that I posed to the AI Chatbot, and what it had to say in response, based on the content of my website. As you’ll see, some of the responses were accurate, and some of them were not. For each, I have given an accuracy grade and my own comments for clarification, plus a list of blogs you can refer to.

Question: What are marvel supernatural abilities?

My comment: This is a very good answer and very consistent with all the content of my blogs and other writings. I give this a 95% accuracy rating.

My comment: this answer is rather short of being completely accurate – I’ll give it a 40% accuracy rating. The last paragraph is false since I have dealt with the meaning of animals in dreams. Having said that, there may be some gaps in my writing that did not give the AI bot enough solid content to grab onto. This is a case where you would need to do your own search in my blogs to get a better answer. For my part, I will accept this as constructive criticism and to be more aware of how my writing may need some improvements.

My comment: This is about 50% correct. With all that I have said about school and test-taking dreams, there are a few significant facts missing here. This is a great example of why you may need to do your own search of my blogs before taking what the AI has to say.

My comment: This is a pretty good answer, I give it a 70% accuracy. I found it humorous that Chuck Missler was attributed as the author of this blog when it was in fact myself (of course). There was an overstretch made in saying that you have to be an engineer or mathematician in order to understand the meaning of numbers. Having said that, everything else stated was rather impressive!

My comment: This was a fair answer, about 70% accurate according to the content in my blogs. Some of my content was missed but there may have been gaps in my explanation that didn’t allow the AI to connect some of the material.

My comment: This is also about 50% accurate. Dreams are one of the top ways that God shows us clues about our calling and purpose. Most of the time, He will not just come out and say things in plain English. Our calling and purpose are extremely important, and as such, God often requires us to search diligently in order to decode the highly valuable parabolic clues that He hides in our dreams. The comment in the last paragraph about “belief systems” is off the script and has no place here. Giving biased or false information is a well known problem with AI. Always do your own homework before believing what AI has to say!

My comment: This is an acceptable answer although it is not ok to forget your dreams if it happens too often. Remember, these are summaries of main points on a few blogs – these are not intended to be complete answers! I give this a score of 85% accuracy. There are a few things that could be included in the answer but this will give the visitor a good idea that I have dealt with this topic to a fairly decent degree. Below each AI response is a list of blogs that is somewhat relevant to the answer given by the AI bot.

Expect Improvement – Continue Your Learning

As I’ve said previously in my blogs, artificial intelligence is a new technology that is here to stay. We have the opportunity right now to get involved and be a part of the solution. The first step in that process is to get educated and familiar with how AI works and what the capabilities and limitations are.

It is well known that AI will display biases or provide incorrect information at times. Always do your own homework if you get an answer that does not sound right or if you are dealing with a topic that you have no prior knowledge of. Use a standard internet search and consider a variety of sources to check your results before coming to a conclusion.
