Dreams Of Doing The Laundry? Here’s What They Mean

Considering all the technology and business dreams I’ve been writing about recently, this blog may seem like an odd-ball. But… it’s not! The dream I’m going to tell today is directly related to all the others, especially regarding the business I’m soon starting up. Dreams of doing the laundry are very common and they deal with preparing you for your calling and purpose. If you have ever had a dream like this, keep reading! I’m going to help you understand what they mean from a Biblical perspective and how it relates to your life.

A Laundry Detergent Dream

January 29, 2024 – I’m outside some building looking in a very big clear ziplock bag of things I got from a relative at home.. The only thing I see clearly is – there’s some kind of instructions for laundry detergent that I’ve never seen before (it was confusing), then a large Tide laundry detergent bottle (which I don’t like to use) with almost none left. Then, while I’m busy doing something on my phone, I see 2 cars pulling up in the grass unexpectedly and I guess I’m standing where they are going to park so I back up a few steps. Then, I see my Dad is standing next to me and then two brothers are walking in the nearby building with me. Seemed like they were there because of something positive to do with me, as if I had accomplished something.

Primary symbols explained…

Package = a dual meaning, including things sent to me that I needed (provision) by one of my relatives literally but also, symbolic of God providing things especially regarding the spiritual preparation (teachings) I needed to develop properly for my calling and purpose.
Tide bottle = in real life, this is detergent that I despise because it’s garbage and full of toxic chemicals and mostly water; this symbolically refers to a horrible situation last year that God used to clean my character in preparation for the calling and purpose He has for me (see additional explanation here).
Instructions = (they were very confusing) this refers to what I had to go through last year which made no sense to me for at least 6 months until I heard teaching from my parent ministry that clarified it.
Detergent bottle = (enough left for only one last load) refers to the process God uses to purge inquities (deep rooted generational curses / sins) from our life; thankfully this shows my process is almost fully complete (see additional explanation here).
Cars arriving = (suddenly) this appears to show how everything changes suddenly while I’m busy focusing on my daily tasks (doing things on my phone).
Dad / brothers = they seemed to be literally my family who have mostly rejected everything I’ve been saying for the last decade as it relates to what I write about here on this website; however, many times, when you see your family in a dream, it will represent your spiritual family rather than your literal one.
Building = since the dream was vague on this part, at this time it’s best to just say that this has to do with a gathering of the people seen, whether literally in person or otherwise; entering buildings can represent entering something new; this is a lesser detail in comparison to the above symbols and ignoring it for now does not change the interpretation of the more important parts above.

Real Life Circumstances

At this point, I almost don’t need to comment much about what was going on when I had this dream. It’s a situation I’ve mentioned many times in blogs and podcasts regarding the last few years but mostly, last year (2023). Suffice it to say it was the most horrible year of my entire life. As I mentioned at the top, this was God’s plan for me to develop a few more character attributes and types of hearts which are needed for my calling and purpose as the founder and CEO of one of the biggest upcoming global technology companies.

This is what we see in the Bible regarding a wilderness which is required for everyone who is pursuing God’s plan for their life. It is a process designed to expose every one of our character flaws so we can take them to God and get them fixed. It is often very lengthy and extremely unpleasant. When you are in God’s ancient training process, you will have many dreams of doing the laundry or anything related (stains and spills on clothing, etc).

Dreams like this are very common and you should expect God to correct you about many things as He has with me in the last decade. As I’ve said in the past, if God is NOT correcting you on a regular basis, you need to be VERY concerned. It is how you respond to those dreams that determines whether you progress or stay stuck where you are in your life. These are things I’ve commented on in the past so I won’t repeat it again now.
