The Secret Life Of A Supernatural Entrepreneur: Making Decisions Like Solomon (Episode 6)

Have you ever wondered how the most wealthy people make decisions on important matters? I learned something about that a few years ago and it ties in with a character flaw God had been trying to fix in me for a long time. There’s a Biblical principle written by Solomon thousands of years ago that gives unexpected wisdom for making decisions that can lead to wealth and prosperity on many levels. Let’s talk about that…

A Costly Generational Curse

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Psalms 37:9 (KJV)

At the risk of exposing some dirty laundry, sometimes you just have to tell it the way it is. Deliverance comes in the form of truth, and unless you have enough Biblical truth, there are things you will never be delivered from. So, here it is…

I grew up, as I’m sure many others, thinking that all my family influences were above reproach. Then, I got to college and started to realize some of that was totally not true. As the years went on, I began to notice. some of those family characteristics were actually completely self defeating and very evil. Then, 10+ years ago, I started my supernatural journey and really got an eye-opening about all that on a much higher level.

Some of those very not good family characteristics was an extreme amount of arrogance, a know it all attitude and impulsiveness (just to name a few). Either one of those will make sure you never reach your full God intended potential but, I really want to zoom in on that last one for now: impulsiveness.

I’ll skip the details but, let’s just say that I became one of the worst stock traders ever because that one horrible character flaw resulted in a ton of losses. As it turns out, you cannot do well with investing if you’re constantly jumping to get into a trade or to get out of one at the first sign of a negative market trend.

There are so many ways you must exercise patience in the stock market, I could (now) write a book about it. Fast forward to today, thankfully, I’ve been mostly delivered from that family curse and my approach to financial matters has drastically improved.

Pride & Patience

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV)

When I finally started hearing good teaching (for a change) about what pride is and all the ways it manifests, something unexpected jumped out at me. It was that verse above. Seriously, I had never heard anyone teach on it and I had a very big problem with impatience and impulsiveness (thanks to generational curses that certain of my ancestors had ever bothered to get rid of).

When I leaned the connection between impatience, impulsiveness and pride, the gears began turning. I started to realize that I had a very serious character flaw that was directly opposing something I had been asking God for. And I had a ton of work to do to get rid of that horrid snake out of my life.

Without getting into all the details of how I’ve learned to eradicate generational curses, let’s just say that it has been a blog topic I have written on at least once. Every one of us has something evil in our ancestral past that we must deal with. If you refuse to do the hard work, then you will manifest it yourself and then pass it on to your children (often with interest). Don’t be surprised when your kids end up worse in some ways than you did, for that reason.

Jumping impulsively is a manifestation of pride in that it says you know better than God. It does not allow God time to work things out for your good and causes you to miss out on far better outcomes. If you continue that behavior, you will end up in disobedience and forfeit the purpose God had intended for you long before the world was created.

That’s as far as I want to go on that topic. At this point, we need to shift gears and tell what I learned about how the most wealthy people make the biggest decisions.

The Meek Shall Save

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Psalms 37:11 (KJV)

So, what is this secret method I’ve learned that the most wealthy people use when they have to make big decisions? The answer might surprise you. When they have a big decision to make on matters that will involve a lot of money, they will sometimes wait as long as possible until they are almost forced to finally decide on a course of action.

Think about it. How many times have you been tempted to make a decision too quickly (impulsively) involving money? How many times did you miss a much better option because you were too quick to act now rather than wait for God to speak to you? Truth be told, this same character flaw leads some to get married to the wrong person for the same reasons.

Pride will drive you to fulfill the out of control desires of the flesh and it will make you poor! Pride blinds us to what is really going on with us. It makes us do very stupid things and to even reject the advice of those whom we should have listened to.

So what’s the solution? Well, there is another word in the Bible I was never taught correctly until recent years: meekness. In the Bible, it says that the “meek inherit the earth”. Jesus quoted the Psalms in Matthew 5:5, saying the same thing. As it turns out, there is a connection between meekness and literal wealth.

Meek people are like Jesus – they are good at saving. They know how to be careful with what they have. They don’t jump impulsively, especially on financial matters. And one of the best ways to apply meekness in our decisions is to SLOW DOWN. When I finally learned to develop meekness, and to kill that demonic impulsivity, many areas of my life began to greatly improve.

It’s A Matter Of The Heart(s)

My advice to you in this very short handling of a much larger subject.. If you want to learn to make decisions like Solomon (one of the wealthiest people who ever lived), you need to develop the characteristic of meekness.

Meekness is actually a matter of the heart. In order to develop this trait, you must start by asking God to give you what Jesus said we need: a heart like His (both meek AND humble Matthew 11:29). Additionally, ask God to give you a wise and understanding heart like Solomon (1 Kings 3:12). Do what I said in a previous episode and continue asking God for those and then work at it as if you were exercising at a gym.

These are just a few of the many things I’ve been doing in order to fulfill the purpose God intended for me. If you’re new to the idea of how God grants us things according to the hearts we have, check out a previous blog series I wrote: Trading High Value Currency In The System Of Heaven: Qualifying To Receive Great Wealth (Part 1)

If you want to be wealthy like Solomon, start by doing as He did and we will pick up this topic again in a future episode.
