In a previous episode, I mentioned that so far, we have hardly dealt with any of the many real business aspects of being an entrepreneur. Everything we have discussed to date has been primarily the supernatural element. It makes sense that I’ve done that because, without that, we would have no story at all! But now, at this point, you will begin to see me dealing much more with the real business side of the story and how it has been a very steep learning curve. Without this very big and obvious element, there can be no actual business. Let’s get started…

“This Will Require Work”

Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

In 2015, I received a personal prophecy that answered my question about the purpose of my life. I was told that God would give me an idea that would produce huge amounts of money. I was told that this would be some sort of business idea and that I would have the connections I needed to make the thing happen. In the midst of that phone call with the Apostle whom God sent to me for this purpose, I was given a few criteria that I must obey. For the sake of our topic today, I will only tell one of those.

I was told (words to this effect) that “some Christians think you can pray and everything will fall out of the sky and happen for you without any of your effort”. Continuing on, the Apostle said, “NO, this will require work.” When I heard those words, I felt a huge relief because, I was in the process of leaving the Air Force after 20 years and I had NO idea what I was supposed to do. Hearing also, that God would send me connections and I would do work, I could not have been happier! Little did I know, however, that none of that would really happen until around 2023 after I had gone through most of the “ancient training process” I’ve been talking about so much in this series.

So, that is where we pick up our story today. As you might imagine, the business side of my story has already been turning out to be as big of a learning process as the supernatural side has been.

The Corporate Learning Curve Begins

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

At some point in 2024, I had a dream that I was in the same college classroom with Elon Musk. I was sitting up front by the professor and I saw Elon sitting among the other students in desks, exactly as he is in real life. He was talkative and happy. The professor next to me was a guy I knew from a previous church who was, in real life, a very smart businessman. From that dream, I knew God was telling me that I was now firmly in the process of learning how to start a business and that it would be similar to getting a whole new university degree.

In reality, I had already started the process of learning the business side in 2023 shortly after God gave the details of the invention design. I had already begun meeting some of the people I needed to actually start a business. I met a commercial real estate agent who helped me learn about commercial buildings, commercial real estate, cost per square foot for building construction and parking lots, the cost of land and landscaping, etc. From that, I began to understand how much property I would need, the security aspects I needed to factor in and the very specific and unusual building design requirements that we had for the invention.

It was just the beginning of a ton of work. But still, I had not made the connections I needed to discuss forming a company and starting a patent. All that came during 2024 when God brought the exact right lawyers to me for both purposes. Both were experts at starting technology companies and for writing technology patents. The meeting of the two came to me from the commercial real estate agent I met the year before.

It was a perfect example of why I make such a big deal about 3-6 AM early morning prayer. I had no sooner told God (during those hours) that I needed to meet the right lawyers when I received an email from my commercial agent with the names of both people. When I looked at their career background, I was shocked how perfect they each were. Then, God showed me in a dream that there was a book one of them recommended that I needed to read. It was basically a college level textbook about the criticality of controlling your intellectual property.

Along with that, I also read another book about raising venture capital (which I would not need at this point). So, each lawyer recommended one of those books based on their field of work. But, I only got the instruction in a dream to read the book on patents (I’ll tell you why later on).

As the weeks and months progressed after my initial meeting, I began learning more and more about the subjects of both books. I learned about the complexities of forming a private or public company, SEC regulations, establishing a board of directors, the legal matters involved with hiring employees, the differences between LLCs and corporations and much more.

Regarding patents, I learned why it is critical that you have a strict policy and strategy of controlling your intellectual property and the various ways you can do that. I learned about companies that did it right and those that did not. So… as I was told in my prophecy, “this will require work.” And it has!

The Engineering Design Element

If that was not enough, it is still only one part of the “work” element of my “supernatural entrepreneur” saga. There is also the technical engineering design aspect which was also a steep learning curve. When we get to that part, you will see how amazed I was that all the engineering classes I took at my university 30+ years ago started coming back to me in the craziest ways. Additionally, my drawing skills from my childhood came back to me when I had to make very detailed sketches of the invention design that God started revealing in 2023.

So now you are beginning to see how this story really is a combination of BOTH supernatural and entrepreneurial aspects. One without the other would have ensured none of this would be happening today. You also now see why, several years ago, I titled one of my ebooks “supernatural science”. Everything I do here on this website (and in my life) is a merging of both realms. This is what you also must learn to do if you are going to fulfill that very specific purpose that God put you here for.
