About 20 years ago, I was listening to a very well known Christian psychologist on a radio talk show. In the course of a conversation with his guest, he made a comment that stuck with me. He said in a disappointing way that with all the people he met and interviewed, very few of them had an early childhood memory that had anything to do with God. When I heard that, it brought back one of my own memories of a question I asked my mom when I was very young. It was one of my earliest childhood memories that, decades later, surprisingly connected with one major element of my true purpose. See if you can relate to my story in your own way?

Here’s the memory that stands out to me to this day… I was standing in the hallway of my (original) childhood house. I was so young that my mom looked as if she was as high up as the ceiling. I was old enough to walk and talk so I must have been around 3-4 years old. I had a question for my mom as I stood there and so I asked. Although I don’t remember the exact wording of my question, it had something to do with the stars in the night sky.

My mom responded to my question by saying that she didn’t know the answer but, when I got to Heaven, I could ask God. For some reason, I never forgot that very short conversation. It was probably not my first childhood memory but, it was definitely one of them.

Fast forwarding to today, if you’re familiar with the dreams about my soon coming energy technology invention, then you know space is one of the biggest themes. In my series of about 70 dreams of the invention, stars and distant planets have been the biggest clues God used to tell me about the scientific nature of the technology I would create.

The Clue To An Invention

Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

In one of the most prominent dreams, I was standing on an unknown planet very far away from earth. I saw about a mile away from me, a very large electrical power generating station. There was something said about the Pleiades star cluster. I then saw that the Pleiades stars turned into the lights high up on poles that illuminated the power station under a dark night sky setting.

When I woke up from that dream, I did everything I have learned to do to try to interpret it. I started looking in the Bible because I knew it said something about the Pleiades. As I read the two passages (Job 9:9 and Job 38:31), I used Strong’s Concordance to try to find out what was hidden in the Hebrew meaning of all the words. Two months went by but I still could not get the idea of what the dream meant.

I decided to call my parent ministry and speak to the dream interpretation staff who I had already gotten to know fairly well. As I told one of the guys the dream, he immediately said several things that I knew were completely accurate. First, he told me I had a calling to business. Second, he said that type of business was in the field of electronics. Third, he said the meaning of my dream was “an invention to power the planet.”

When I heard that, I was shocked and speechless. Here’s why… I knew he was right because my Dad was an electrical engineer in his career. Although I struggled badly with the one EE class I took in college, I knew immediately that somehow God had put that into my lineage. The simple interpretation he gave of my dream made perfect sense. This was the first time anyone had clarified to me what my prophecy of “the idea“ that God was going to give me. I now knew specifically what type of business I would have and knowing that it was in the field of technology definitely struck me as a perfect fit.

Hidden Clues In Your Childhood?

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

The man on the radio talk show I mentioned at the top of this episode is Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and currently, Dr James Dobson Family Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was one of the most influential people in my earliest years long before my supernatural awakening. I used to listen to all his radio shows and I read many of his books on marriage and family. Two years ago, when I unexpectedly found myself living in Colorado Springs, attempting to start my invention company, I felt a very strong pull to go visit Focus on the Family several times.

I hope that when my company does get started, I might have the chance to talk with Dr Dobson in person. I believe very strongly in honoring those whom God used to develop my personal foundation in life and faith and I’ve been adding to the list of those who I want to acknowledge when the time comes.

I don’t know how many of you have a childhood memory that relates to something you know for a fact is part of God’s plan for your life? My point in bringing this out is that, when God thought of each of us long before He created the world, He put certain things into us that, if we are paying attention, just might be hints to our purpose. The interesting thing is, at no time before my supernatural awakening 10+ years ago did I ever think that my purpose had anything literally to do with the stars in the night sky.

Maybe some of you went down a path that led you directly into what God really made you for. As I’ve been saying in my story here, my path began in a very different direction via the military. If I had stayed in a career related to what I did during my Air Force years, it is almost 100% unlikely that I ever would have discovered that God’s true purpose for my life had something to do with an energy technology invention that would change the entire world.

I believe the more we really want to know what God put us here for, we may find that He already left clues throughout our life that may at least hint at God’s intended purpose. I admit that I have not talked much about this childhood memory with too many people and this is the first time it has ever made the digital pages of my blogs. Perhaps now that I’ve put it out publicly, it may spark something in those who read this that confirms their own true purpose.
