In this series, I have dealt extensively with the very long and difficult process of fulfilling God’s plan for your life. I have dealt with how your faith will be tested and developed as a result of very negative circumstances. What I want to do now is tell a little about what it’s like when you know what God has revealed to you about your future but, it has not yet happened and everything seems to look like it’s not happening at all. I have quite a lot of experience with this and I have learned a few things about what you must do while you are waiting for everything to show up in real life. This episode is specifically intended for those who have been watching me for several years and have no appreciation for what it takes to do all that I write about here.
Faith: An Invisible But Very Real Commodity
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
When I first began walking out the process of discovering and fulfilling my real life purpose, I had no appreciation for the length of time required to do all that I have been writing about here. I made the kindergarten assumption that, just because a prophet or a dream indicated God was going to do something great for me, that it naturally should happen in a matter of days.
I had a very naive (and uneducated) belief that, now that I believed in miracles and the supernatural, everything should just happen for the mere fact that I believed in it. When things did not happen according to that immature view, I began having serious mental conflicts about the veracity of those prophecies.
What I lacked in my understanding of faith was that, when God gives you a word about your future, there is a process of time that must pass before anything happens in the visible realm. Faith is such a big deal in the Bible partly because it is harder to develop than it seems at first. There are things you can do with your faith that can literally change the outcomes of nations.
Faith can move things literally, it can cause time to stop, it can get people healed, it can cause you to disappear from one location and reappear in another. Faith can work marvels but, in order to do these great feats, there is a price to be paid. God does not give the kind of power for these miracles too easily.
What I’ve been learning is that, in order for the thing God promised you in dreams or in personal prophecies, you must work it out with your own effort (spiritually). In order to do that, you must hang on to that thing with the expectation that it will happen in real life no matter how long it takes. You must endure contradictions as Abraham did when he was told he would have a child and yet, he and his wife were long past the age for having children.
Faith does not consider negative circumstances that directly oppose it. Faith is not derailed by contradictory factors in the natural realm that you can see with your eyes which try to make you think that the invisible realm will not become visible.
Faith Is Extremely Powerful & Expensive
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 1:3 (KJV)
God created the world out of nothing that can be seen and we are made in His image and likeness because we are expected to do the same as He did – according to the same pattern. Believe in what you cannot yet see and take actions according to the leading of the Holy Spirit to make them happen in reality.
Faith is a commodity that is both extremely valuable and extremely rare. I’m not talking about the overly simplistic things like having faith that God exists. NO. I’m talking about being specific that you can go to God, ask Him for something big, and expect that He will answer you with that thing you want. This is what Jesus taught! Ask and you will receive… He did not say “might” receive, He said WILL receive.
Jude tells us that this kind of faith is so rare that, even during the time of the early church, they had lost it many generations ago and did not have it. He tells us that there is a work of striving to develop that positive power that causes things to manifest out of the invisible realm and into real life. Jesus asked the question about His return, will He find faith on earth? He also said that if you believe in your heart and do not doubt, you WILL receive that thing you expect.
Many people in churches do not even go after this kind of real faith because they see no one around them with it. There is a deception in being around people who “have a form of godliness but ” have no power. They have no power because they have not paid the very high personal price to develop that kind of faith that can cause miracles to happen. They have not paid the price because it is extremely inconvenient and requires very hard work.
From my own past church experience (for the first 40 years of my life), I have observed that the real reason underlying this lack of powerful faith is because most church people and church leaders are lazy. Yep!! It’s true. They do not want to do the hard work and so they make you believe there is “no such thing as miracles anymore”.
That’s what I was taught and that’s what I experienced for 40 years. They had no miracles because they had no faith. They refused to pay the price and go after God for this substance that is more valuable than millions of dollars. So instead, they deny that it exists and do everything they can to kill your faith as well.
Faith Must Be Exercised In Real Life Circumstances
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: — He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Romans 4:19-21 (KJV)
I have seen with my own eyes that all I am saying is true. I have seen miracles of healing happen right in front of me (including a teenage boy with cerebral palsy). I have even experienced some healing miracles myself! But, I have only seen them happen in ministries that paid the price to develop the kind of faith that makes these things happen. On top of that, I have seen marvel abilities in my dreams that have not been seen on earth in thousands of years.
Time travel, controlling time, supernatural transportation, multiplication, invisibility, walking on water, power with lightning and supernatural electricity, causing things to move merely by thought, etc. These are things God has directly shown me that I have the ability to do myself! Some of them have begun happening in real life and some of them have not yet.
And… all this applies to my very long wait to receive the money to start my energy technology invention business. When I first saw dreams that I would have this invention, and the money to create it, I had no idea how much spiritual effort it would take to make it happen. Just like the marvel abilities I’m talking about, the massive amount of money I will receive for this business startup is an invisible substance that God promised which will happen in real life! But, just like everything else, there is a price to be paid to get this from God.
The price is very high and God will require you to do things that make no sense and force you to live on “thin air” with no job or source of income. This kind of faith cannot be developed by living a normal life. NO. If you try to do what everyone else out there is doing, especially in the dead useless churches that have no miracles (on a regular basis), you will NOT get any of what I am describing here.
God required me to give up everything in order to receive something so big that I could never imagine it. And in following His command to walk away from all my money and possessions, I have been persecuted, harassed and attacked by evil religious people who have no faith and have no results in their life. Well, just as the Pharisees relentlessly attacked Jesus and His followers, the same is true today. But, there are far more Pharisees alive today than there ever were 2,000 years ago.
Take my advice, based on my experience. I have been doing the work. I have been paying the price. And I have seen the initial stages of results. I have seen the ancient faith that Jude speaks of begin to show up in my daily life. All that I have waited for WILL happen – especially the invention business and the money required to make it happen.
