Believe it or not, I have not posted an airplane dream here in a very long time! Today, we have a new one that combines some unusual symbols into one dream with a profound and long awaited message. As I considered the strange combination of symbols I saw in the dream, it occurred to me that the dream was about a soon coming launching out from a period of intense isolation and austerity. In this blog, I will explain the meaning of fighter jets, an airshow, a solo jet, being the first of many, an old church and what it means to be a prisoner of Christ. This is a fairly in-depth explanation of the primary symbols, which turned out to be a surprisingly revelatory study assignment.

Dream: An Airshow, An Old Church, First To Launch

April 17, 2025 – I’m inside an enclosed inner room inside of an old Catholic Church. The room has a window with rounded edges with black rubber gasket around the edges (it had the appearance like some kind of construction equipment). The room is in the center walkway towards the back of the church. I and my wife are both in that room sitting on a bed. I look out the window towards the altar and I see that the Air Force Thunderbirds airshow team are now starting their show. The first jet comes by itself from the altar, already in the air (almost like a bird being released), and it goes over the top of the room we are in and it banks into a 90 degree knife edge position. The jet then goes up near the ceiling, and towards a window above and behind the choir loft and then flies out of a narrow window. No other jets launched, this was the first and only one to fly. I didn’t see anyone else inside the church. I had the sense that all this took place in northern Colorado Springs, near the Scheels parking lot. 

Here are the primary symbols explained…

• Catholic church = in this context, an old church setting represents a combination of 1) the ancient things of God, as is taught at my parent ministry (by Apostle David E. Taylor), and 2) a reference to my own literal past (growing up in that church); when you see something from your past, it can refer to your purpose which God planned from the beginning of time; therefore old things can represent your own ancient beginning in God’s mind and heart before the world was formed (Ephesians 1:4, Psalms 77:5, Daniel 7:9).
• Inner room = a very secluded place of shutting in to meet with God for the purpose of personal construction, cut off from the rest of society and a normal lifestyle, a prisoner of Christ; this has been my life for the past 10 years as I have described in my blogs (Ephesians 3:1, Philemon 1:1, Matthew 6:6, 2 Kings 9:2-3).
• Altar = a place of personal sacrifice, consecration and death to self, a place of prayer and meeting with God; the place where matters of the human heart are dealt with (Genesis 8:20, Luke 9:23, Jeremiah 17:1).
• Fighter jet = a symbol of spiritual warfare, boldness and victory in an area of your life, powerful / fast progress, the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Acts 4:29).
• Airshow = think of how an airplane performs maneuvers in front of a large crowd for the purpose of attracting attention as a positive public relations event; when an airshow is put on by a military service, it is used as a recruiting tool and a public relations outreach; therefore, in the spiritual sense, this represents an evangelistic outreach to large masses of people, especially in a global sense as is fitting for the particular demonstration team seen in this dream; I have said that my invention will serve this purpose in a very unique way, a first of its kind (Matthew 15:30, Acts 26:4).
• Thunderbirds = the USAF aerial demonstration team which, in a spiritual context represents an evangelistic outreach on a very large scale; this refers to the global ministry I am part of plus my own assignment within that (Matthew 15:30).
• Thunderbirds solo jet = represents myself due to 1) my very independent personality, 2) my assignment as an inventor and 3) being separated from others by God for a specific and unique work; in real life, I am part of a larger team (my parent global ministry) but, I still have my own distinct, separate role which compliments the ministry as a whole (Genesis 13:14-15).
• First to take off = this appears to say that I will be leading the way in some capacity by starting my assignment before the others in my team; beyond that, there could be an additional significance to this element of being the first to act which could include the idea of being a “prototype” as I have discussed in previous blogs (Acts 26:4).
• Narrow window = a constrained situation, escaping from a very limited and austere personal environment into the open freedom, launching into my assignment as like a bird leaving a cage (Matthew 7:14, Ephesians 3:1 ).
• Empty church = possibly that very few people overall practice the ancient things of God, which thereby produces no power in the lives of Christians and results in a church that draws no one; this is a calling to follow the ancient path as I have explained many times in this website (1 Thessalonians 1:5, 2 Timothy 3:5).
• Scheels parking lot = (from personal knowledge) this is a reference to 1) a personal “graduation” from God’s training program and 2) a field of evangelism to reach masses of people; in real life, this location is a key vantage point where thousands of people in Colorado Springs gather each year to watch the graduation ceremony and the Thunderbirds airshow at the Air Force Academy since it is a very good viewing location (Matthew 15:30, 2 Timothy 4:5).

Interpreting Prophetic Dreams

Sometimes I write about dreams that have not yet played out in real life. This is more prophetic because, when the real event happens later on, you can go back and see the connection between the symbols and real life events. When done properly, this can be a very powerful tool that validates the way God speaks in these nighttime parables, as I often call them.

At the time of this dream, I have been seeing clear signs that God is getting ready to move me into the next phase of my life where I will be living out my calling which He has been preparing me for in the last 10+ years. Because of those signs (primarily in dreams), it was fairly easy to connect the dots to correctly understand the meaning of this dream, especially with the solo jet that took off first.

As always, when a dream plays out in real life, there may be additional revelations that come to light which were not obvious before hand. I expect the same to be true in this case. And that’s fine. Either way, this blog will serve as an excellent example of Biblical prophetic dream interpretation which can inspire confidence in those who are unfamiliar with God’s communication with us in this manner.
