How many things have changed in the last few years! We could say that about many aspects of life but, I’m specifically referring to what I’ve learned by experience about how to read people from 1,000 miles away. It’s one of those business skills I now realize are going to be critical for me, and for you as well if God has called you to some form of business. So let’s use a couple very practical situations to explain how I’ve been learning how to read people long before they reveal their true colors. I hope to keep this short but, the brevity of this episode does not at all imply that this is not extremely important.

Optimistically Naive (not for long)

A few years ago, someone contacted me who I had every reason to believe nothing but the best about. I even wrote blog posts about it because, that was when all that I write about in this series were supposed to take off. But, then came the very negative and suspicious dreams about the person. I had a very hard time accepting the very odd negatives because everything was supposed to be an amazing opportunity for them and the start of something that would change the world. Unfortunately, after the next months and years went by, with the person turning out to be an exact fulfillment of my warning dreams… well, let’s say God used that to educate me on how many snakes there are in the church and the business world – especially when money is involved.

Then came a big social media group that I was pushed into by someone who thought I was “one of them”. I appreciated the attention and publicity but at the same time, I knew it was a premature promotion of which I was not ready for. I let that situation go for about 8 months until I could no longer deal with the childish adults who always needed their diapers changed and baby bottles refilled. There was no order in that group and the attitudes I had to put up with were abominable. Yes, it was a “Christian” supernatural group.

Then came all the people, many of whom were part of the above, who started giving me odd behaviors every time I brought up certain topics. This happened either in person among church people or by email via this blog. I would notice their odd silence where they would pick and choose what I said and refuse to acknowledge the most important things I told them. Sometimes, I would give them something free and in return, they gave me a very disgraceful attitude. As time went on, I began to notice more and more of this and it did not make any difference how many blogs I posted on certain topics, the people always acted like my words were mysteriously invisible to them.

Discovering The Root Of The Problem

For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

I should probably keep it vague at this point because some of those above named individuals, I still hope for a positive outcome (although I’m not holding my breath). Truthfully, I’ve had to “fire” many of my followers by directly telling them I will NO LONGER answer their emails or let them contact me. I’ve had to do this because, despite how many times I make it clear what my standards are, people continue to think they can ignore those and treat myself and the work I do here with dishonor. We’ve already talked about this honor problem, especially in the church. I’ve since learned that the warning Jesus gave about pigs in the church is much more pervasive than I had any idea.

So, how does this relate to our subject title for this episode? Great question, I’m glad you asked! In the process of trying to approach people with a positive outlook, I have been disappointed more times than I can count. At some point, I began to realize that the church is full of snakes and I was being naive (immature) to believe otherwise. Rather than approach everyone with an optimistic view, it is turning out to be much more productive to handle everyone in a very different way. By that, I mean that until you prove yourself to me, I don’t need to be anything other than very business like and potentially even cold with you.

Several years ago, I learned something about the business style of Donald Trump. From observation and from reading about him, he often intentionally approaches people in a blunt and even rude manner just to see what kind of reaction he will get from them. When he sees how they respond (or react) to his opening lines, then he knows what kind of person he is dealing with and then he knows how he has to handle them in order to get a job done. If you look at this from a Biblical perspective, you will see that Jesus and John the Baptist (plus most of the prophets) did more or less the same thing!

See, there is a distinction that needs to be made. When you are dealing with a business assignment (including a spiritual one), there is a time to tell it like it is. Jeremiah was told he needed to speak to the people without any consideration of their reactions (Jeremiah 1:17). Moses had to say harsh things to those who rebelled against him and even the ground opened up at his command and all those rebels were put to death. Then came a certain couple who thought it acceptable to lie to Peter about money. They both dropped dead on the spot and Peter didn’t mince any words with them right before they did.

A Better Approach Now

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

We could go on and deal with the true culture of the Kingdom of God but, I have already done that extensively in other blogs (which are conveniently ignored by many of my readers). The point I’m making here is that the problem I have discovered is that those who refuse to listen, do so because they are hard hearted, just as Jesus and John the Baptist warned. Because of how hard hearted and arrogant these people are, I’ve learned you have to deal with them exactly as seen in the Bible – very harshly.

So, I’ve had to do this many times, including “firing” followers who have donated many hundreds of dollars to me in recent years. Anytime someone thinks they can get out of order with me or the global ministry I am part of, that person is a poisonous snake and they will be dealt with exactly as you would a real one. Those who think they can give me their “prophetic words” are also out of order, and that has happened a few times by church babies with big headed 2-year old attitudes.

By the way, this also applies to those very few who keep “liking” and subscribing to my blog posts but conveniently they decided not to get anywhere near my last one (episode 66). Any why is that?? I already know why and you just outted yourself as I expected all along. Very unfortunate.

See, I’ve learned to read people by their strange omissions long ago. I even had to learn from a dream about a former girlfriend what it means when someone goes oddly silent on me. I didn’t want to believe anything negative about them and gave them time to “come along” but in almost every single case (in the last 10 years) I have seen almost no one turn positive. ALMOST NO ONE!!

So, now when I see these strange behaviors, just know that I’m not unaware of what you’re doing. I have developed the ability to see things 1,000 miles away and I can probably read you long before you show your true colors (you know… like a diamondback…). I’m really not fooled by this anymore and I can thank God that He gave me the chance to learn this BEFORE my invention business started!

Well, maybe you can take a couple lessons from this: 1) don’t play games with me, and 2) maybe you can apply this to your own business if God has called you to one.
