Recently, I was having an email conversation with a friend from a western country and the topic came up about what the “new wineskin” in the church is. As I read the email I received with that question, I immediately remembered a dream I had back when God first initiated me into the new era back around 2015. I remembered that the dream showed a very profound distinction between what most churches and prophetic ministries were doing versus what God expected us all to be focused on right now. We need to talk about the significance of that dream now because it lays the foundation for what this entire new series is about.

Dream: Out With The Old

And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

Luke 5:36-38 (KJV)

December 3, 2015 – I put a sports drink mix inside my water bottle and filled it with water. There was a reaction that made the bottle soft and it leaked out at the bottom. The water turned pink from the drink mix and leaked out all over the counter, leaving a pink stain. Then I saw the sink didn’t have the nice big faucet but a tiny little faucet that was in the left corner and barely reached to the sink.

Here is the interpretation of the main symbols…

The water bottle with the pink sports drink mix relates to the idea of wine because of the fermentation process. In the Bible, Jesus emphasized the importance of putting new wine into new wine skins. The fermentation process in wine causes an expansion that would burst the wine skins if they were old and not flexible. In my dream, the reaction from the sports drink mix in the water was a modern day illustration of the same idea. Also, it was a very relevant personal symbol for me because at that time, I did often use my water bottle with a sports drink mix.

The pink color is partly a reference to the old way of the flesh. On the surface, this may not be obvious but based on the context of my life at the time, I knew it was dealing with the contrast between the outdated church teaching and the new material I was learning about the Kingdom of God and sonship. Additionally, this pink was about a watered down gospel (not full red color) that I had been learning from all the previous churches I had attended, including the Pentecostal ones.

The tiny water faucet that barely reached into the sink referred to the lack of the Holy Spirit in the churches I had been attending. They had only a tiny constricted amount of the presence and leading of God and it barely served any purpose. That confirms what I had realized about something being very wrong with those Pentecostal churches. This water faucet symbol was a second confirmation in the dream of what God was speaking to me about.

A Very Rough Life Transition (twice!)

At the time of my dream, I was in the beginning stages of learning about sonship and the Kingdom of God. I was still following a mixture of preachers and teachers and it was becoming obvious that the majority of them were stuck in the past, focusing on a very low power form of the supernatural. I had only switched to the Pentecostal churches 4 years earlier and I was struggling very badly to transform my mind to understand all the supernatural things I had been told didn’t exist for the previous 40 years of my life.

That time in my life was a very rough transition. I had come to realize that I had been lied to by all my previous decades of church teaching and now I had to erase everything in my mind and start over. It was an extremely difficult process but I had fully committed to it because of what God had been showing me. I reached a point where there was no going back. I thought that by switching to the Pentecostal churches, I had finally “arrived”. But unfortunately, it only took 4 years to realize something was very wrong in almost all of them.

That’s when God gave me my water bottle dream. He was showing me the distinction between what the Pentecostal churches were teaching and what He had recently introduced me to earlier that same year (2015). The dream profoundly confirmed what I had been noticing and helped me realize that I needed to break ties with those churches. Basically, God was telling me that I needed once again, to erase everything I had been learning and start over for the second time now!

Are you getting the picture here? One huge transition at that point in my life was hard enough but, now I had to do it all over again just 4 years later (at age 44). Well… as you guessed, I did exactly what God showed me and 10 years later now, the results of my efforts are now permanently a part of my foundation. Everything I have written here in the last several years about marvel supernatural abilities and sonship is the initial results of the new wine skin / new era teaching that God instructed me to focus on.

The Mystery Of Sonship

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:19 (KJV)

Now we finally get to what the dream was pointing to. The dream showed that all the past churches were old wine skin. They were stuck in the wilderness going around in circles, making no progress (with no results). God had introduced me to sonship earlier that year and He gave me some time to figure out that I needed to make a definitive decision about my direction. I could not sit on the fence and keep listening to the old teachings while at the same time trying to move forward with where God was going.

God wanted me firmly established in the training process for sonship and the Kingdom of God, not stuck in the outdated, low power realm of prophetic ministries. The message in my dream was immediately clear to me and I remember being very surprised at God’s characterization of what most churches were doing. He was quite blunt about it and I did not miss the significance of His thoughts about it.

As I said at the top here, this dream was 10 years ago, almost to the day of the writing of this episode. In the years since my dream, much has been accomplished because I obeyed the message in my dream and I took action on it. Since then, I’ve had countless other dreams all on the same subject of sonship and the Kingdom of God which you can find in my blogs, books, videos, etc.

I did not make excuses and stay stuck where everyone else did. I did not allow my (former) church friends to hold me back when they refused to get on board with where God was going. I left the churches I had been attending and stopped following the prophetic ministries that preferred to stay stuck in the old outdated comfortable wine skins.

I recognized the significance of why the teaching on sonship was critical to the world and the times we are in. I knew there was no option in me following where God was leading me. And now, looking back, I have the results to prove this was a true message from God. He changed the physical properties of liquid just to do something good for people who had run out of wine in a wedding. That was a miracle of sonship. That is simply not normal, but this is what we are supposed to be doing. But we have failed to prepare the saints to do this…

ACTION!

So… What choice are you going to make?? Stay stuck in the past in wandering wilderness churches and prophetic ministries or will you get on board with the new era that began back in 2010 when Jesus appeared to David E. Taylor and told him what has been missing from the church for hundreds of years. I hope you make the same choice I did. The world can’t wait anymore for the manifesting of the real sons of God.
