If you are really following God’s plan for your life, there are going to be times when it seems like nothing is happening. We are instructed in the Bible to NOT make judgments based on outward appearances but, when faced with situations that appear to be contradictions to what we expect, our limited human mind always jumps to make false judgments. I’ve said this in a previous episode that the human mind is mostly dead from the sin of Adam and Eve. As a result, we are incapable of seeing things correctly as God sees them and, unless we strive to get the mind of Christ, by the Holy Spirit, we come to wrong conclusions about many things. In this episode, I want to tell you, from my experience what I have seen happening during the times when it seems outwardly that “nothing is happening”. Keep reading because you need to know there is A LOT going on beneath the surface and if you do not properly recognize this critical part of your development process, you are going to kill your entire destiny.

A Metaphor Of Roots

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

John 7:24 (KJV)

In several Bible passages such as Psalm 1:2-4, we are likened to trees. Trees have a biological structure that can be metaphorically related to humans in many ways. Trees have roots that develop under the surface that provide necessary nutrients to the upper part of the body. Roots also provide a critical function of maintaining the structure and stability of the tree, especially when it is fully grown. A tree with shallow roots will not stand in a storm. Roots are hidden and cannot be seen just by looking at the tree from the surface level. And so it is with humans.

What is the part of us humans that cannot be seen from the surface? What is that one part of us that is critical in determining our future? Is there an organ in the human body that has literal branches that look like roots and is frequently spoken about in the Bible? The answer to those questions is – YES, it is the heart. The heart of a person cannot be seen on the surface but, the evidence of it can be seen by human behaviors. A good person acts according to their nature just as an evil person acts according to their nature; each of which is determined by what type of heart they have.

I have learned that God looks at the heart of a person and He judges according to what He sees there. God makes judgments based on what is not always seen on the surface. Good people can do evil things and evil people can do good things. God knows who is who and what kind of heart each one has. God is not confused by the good outward actions of an evil person just as He is not confused by the occasional evil actions of a persons who is truly following Him. But, we humans have this all screwed up. We look at the outward appearances of people and we make false judgments about them. In doing so, we are out of order with God and we put ourselves in danger of His judgment when we do not look at people the way He does.

In my last 11 years of God’s “ancient training program”, my life has looked like a total disaster. God would not allow me to have a regular job or a regular life and so you can imagine the financial state of my life for all these years now. As a result of that, I have had people say things to me that proves what kind of person they are. Those who have a real connection with God and are filled with the Holy Spirit (not a bunch of religion), know what is really going on with me. However, those who do not have any connection with God, but just a bunch of religion and attitudes, have repeatedly shown their true evil colors of a darkened mind by attacking and accusing me of living a life that is a “waste of time”.

Well… you’re either going to get up to speed with what God is really doing right now on earth or you are going to be left behind with the rest of the modern day dead church and all those who do not follow Him at all. I have now written 95 episodes that tell the truth of what God is doing when He puts you through a very austere process of development in order to process you to fulfill a very high calling for the world. God REQUIRES you to make extreme personal sacrifices before He will do anything big for you. Nothing is free in God’s eternal system. Our salvation had to be paid by Jesus dying on the cross and shedding His blood for us. Salvation was NOT free!! And so it is with everything else here on earth.

Aim Higher

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Each one of us is as the Bible says, we are at our true nature, full of pride and we were born in iniquity (a very deep rooted type of sin). There is almost nothing “good” about any of us and for God to use us for a very high calling, He puts us through an extremely unpleasant training program so that we can develop the right kind of roots in ourselves. Before God can promote us to a high level position, He first makes sure our roots are built correctly so we can withstand all that we will be dealing with in our true calling and purpose.

This is what we see with Joseph, King David, Samuel and many others. Even Jesus had to go through a process of earthly human development before God openly acknowledged Him as His Son when His ministry began! There are many patterns in the Bible that still apply to us today if we are ever going to accomplish anything of value in our one very short lifetime. We were put here for a purpose and yet, hardly anyone ever goes after God to get that answer. Each of us was designed by God to fulfill a specific purpose but He hides that knowledge in such a way that you can easily live an entire life doing nothing you were put here for.

Most people rationalize the life they lived but it is only a deception. Truth is too uncomfortable to come face to face with and acknowledge openly. The world is run on pride and because of that, the level of fakeness, outward positioning and false facades are basically at a pandemic level. Try finding a person who will actually go after the truth (firstly about themselves) and then go through the process of fixing all that is wrong with them. I don’t know about you but, I have seen most people do the opposite. Especially “religious people”. You know, those that make up what they think about God and quote Bible verses having NO understanding of what God really meant when He said those things recorded in the Bible.

God’s process is designed to make sure your roots are strong, deep and wide (Ephesians 3:17-19). Those roots must be able to handle the calling and purpose God designed you for. I have learned, by looking back at my last 11 years, that MANY things have changed inside of me!! I am a VERY different person than I was 3 years ago, 5 years ago, 11 years ago. God’s austere ancient wilderness training program DOES WORK.

When it seems like nothing is happening, it is that process where God is developing your roots. Those roots are your heart. It is all the things beneath the surface that must be fully developed so that you can handle the pressures and requirements of your true calling and purpose.

If you think you can shortcut that process and live a “normal” and convenient life, you are in deception. You must learn to see things the way God sees them, NOT according to the 90% limited dead brain, human way of thinking. God sees things in multi-dimensions and according to a full eternal timeline which we humans do not have access to. As such, He knows when we are in need of development and when we are lacking in some areas that are critical to our destiny. Trust me, I am reminding myself of all this as well here.

Next time you think “nothing is happening”, just remember that you are seeing from the limited dead brain human way of thinking. That perspective is not God’s eternal truth. I have seen myself how much has changed inside of me in these last 11 years! Some of those changes have seemed miraculous and even surprised me when I suddenly noticed them.
