Since we started this series, we have so far talked quite a lot about how hard the “ancient training process” has been. Today, we need to look at something very different. It’s something I have not yet experienced but, I have had plenty of time to think about it. This episode is my attempt to actively reinforce (to myself) a very important point about a very dangerous subject. We need to hit this one head on now and hopefully never forget it…

The Pattern Is Not Good

Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

Deuteronomy 11:16 (KJV)

God’s ancient training ground (the wilderness) is the place where we are supposed to be developing the character traits needed for success in the promised land. This is where we are supposed to be looking at our family patterns and generational curses and then doing what it takes to fix them. It is the time when we are also supposed to be looking at the Biblical warnings and the negative patterns displayed by those who went before us and not repeat their mistakes.

The wilderness is deliberately hard so we can dredge down to the depths of our hearts to find out how much evil is lurking down there. Until we get to the bottom of our real selves, there is much hidden that will rise up at a later time and destroy us. This is the process most church people never go through and this is why they keep going around in circles in the wilderness, never entering their promised land. As I say, we’ve talked quite a lot about that (and will again in the future).

But today, we are talking about the dangers of entering the promised land. We are dealing with what is going to happen when we suddenly receive exactly as the Bible says: “so much that we do not have room to receive it” (Mal 3:10). Most of us have never experienced any such thing and because of that, we are dealing with a state of existence we know nothing about. More specifically, we do not know how we are really going to behave when we do enter such a state.

Get Real (With Yourself)

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

In order to make sure we do not screw up our future (and our eternity), we need to get serious about a few things right now. We need to be doing what it takes to get our minds and hearts set in the right direction so we do not suddenly turn and become a Lucifer as soon as that great wealth lands on us. And… the best place to start that process is with what we see in the patterns in the Bible.

When we look at the evil things done in the Biblical accounts, we must recognize the truth that, unless we take very deliberate action, we WILL repeat those horrible outcomes. We are NOT supposed to look at what was done and foolishly think “oh, I would never do that”. Truth is, those warnings are on record because, you and I are absolutely just as predisposed to committing the exact sins “those people” did back then. To think anything else is simply beyond stupid.

How do I know all that? Great question! The answer is found in what God tells us personally based on what He knows to be true about us. And that comes primarily in a certain form of communication I’ve written quite a lot about. Here it is…

The Saving Supernatural Element

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18 (KJV)

One of the many categories of dreams you will receive are those where God corrects and rebukes you for anything that is out of order with His ways. That can be an attitude or behavior that is sinful. Those corrections can be based on what you already did or on what you are about to do. Without getting into all the ways that can show up in your dreams, scroll down to the bottom of this post and check the links I’ve included. For the sake of a couple very useful examples…

• Have you ever had dreams of being up high on a building or tower and there’s no railing and it looks like you could easily fall off?
• Have you ever seen someone (or yourself) in a dream perched up high on a scaffolding and there was something negative about the scene?

If you have, those are just a couple examples of dreams where God is warning against pride. In case you’re wondering, YES, I have had those myself! It would be a little unusual not to have had those dreams when God repeatedly warned the Israelites in advance about the worldly things that would cause them to go astray once they entered the promised land.

If you’ve never had great wealth, then you don’t know how it is going to affect you. You can say whatever you want but, until it happens, you don’t know what you will do and how you will act. During the last 10 years, I’ve learned a thing or two about my own patterns based on those of my family. The side of the family I take after most has some horrible character flaws with exactly what I’m getting at here.

It’s odd, when I think about what inspired me to ask God for something big (for the right reasons), then to be confronted by the reality that my family patterns are completely in opposition. How do you stay on track and not become a devil when you started out with the right motives?? Ask Solomon about that… It is not that easy. How many times did God warn His people and yet they still went astray (repeatedly)?? That’s my point. Don’t think this is a trivial matter. It’s not.

A Real Connection Is Critical

But, if God regularly speaks to you in nighttime parables (dreams) like the kind I write so frequently about here, then at least you have a chance to know when you’re going down the wrong road. This is why I make such a big deal about the supernatural aspect of being a “supernatural entrepreneur”.

Without God in the process, you’re left with ZERO of the kind of guidance that you need for your eternal destination. Having lived this supernatural, God-led existence now for the last 10 years, it amazes me how dangerous life is without what I now have. The vast majority of people deceive themselves with self conjured notions of where they will spend eternity and most of them are completely WRONG.

Let’s pick up this theme again soon. In the meantime, go look up the testimonies of those who have seen Hell and who is down there, and why they are. The reality of what I’ve written today is not a joke – it’s not something to take chances with.
