In the last few weeks, God has required me to focus on certain character traits needed for my calling and purpose. If you have followed my extensive series, “The Secret Life of A Supernatural Entrepreneur”, you know how much effort I have put into the subject of the character development we must go through in order to fulfill our God-intended destiny. Just this week, God gave me a dream that specified the traits I need to focus on by referring to a popular TV series and a book which strongly emphasize the most important aspect of learning about Jesus. Here is that dream and the instruction it contained…
Dream: A Revelation In A Book & TV Series
February 11, 2025 – I’m in the living room of my childhood house and there are several of my immediate relatives and family members in the room. Everyone is sitting in chairs and on the couches. I’m in a chair in the corner of the room near the fireplace and a walkway into the kitchen. I have the Face To Face Appearances book playing on my phone in text to speech mode.
At first I turn the volume down a little but a family friend is nearest to me on the right and he starts to listen to it. My Dad is next to him on a couch 2 places over from me. I try to pause the phone while it is reading the book but it won’t stop. Next, I hear my youngest brother talking about studying the meek and lowly heart of Jesus. He says he should have figured it out by now that this is the most important thing to learn about Jesus.
Then, I get up to plug in a small square device (about 8”) that looks like a combination of a battery powered speaker and space heater in one. I see the battery is almost dead and it needs to be recharged. Then, I switch to listening to the Face To Face book on my iPad.
Here are the primary symbols interpreted…
- Childhood house = indicates the context of the dream is a personal message to me and includes my literal family gatherings, can also represent “my father’s household” as a symbol of my spiritual (not biological) family (Genesis 47:12).
- Living room = indicates the dream deals with my literal family at the time of the dream (2 Kings 20:4).
- Fireplace = represents matters of the heart as it relates to the character and heart of Jesus revealed in God’s word (Luke 24:32).
- Corner chair = this is the least visible seat in the room in my childhood house; as such, it represents the “hidden man of the heart”, which refers to having a meek heart (1 Peter 3:4).
- Kitchen = where things are prepared (in the heart of a person), and confirms the central message of the dream is about personal matters of the heart (Luke 14:17 and Hosea 7:6).
- Face To Face book = in real life, I use my phone for text to speech to listen to the literal book by this name about appearances from Jesus; recently, I have been reading that book (see Amazon link here for the book by David E. Taylor). (2 Timothy 2:15).
- Not stopping = (the phone reading the book audibly) this is God’s way of telling me to continue listening to the book because there are parts of it I need for my personal development (2 Timothy 2:15 and Psalms 62:11).
- iPad = represents the “tablet” of the heart, in real life, I use my iPad for watching movies, just this week I started watching The Chosen series about the life and ministry of Jesus; God is showing here that the series goes along with the Face to Face book and they both compliment each other for the purpose of personal development (Proverbs 3:3).
- Speaker / heater / device = represents speaking from the heart (this includes all kinds of communications such as writing my blogs, especially about Jesus and His modern-day appearances). (Luke 24:32 and Matthew 10:7).
- Unplugged (device) = a device that runs out of battery is a caution to avoid becoming slothful (lacking zeal / enthusiasm due to a very long wait) (Romans 12:11).
- Battery low = this is the same as the foolish virgins that did not bring enough oil because they were slothful and let the long wait kill their energy and enthusiasm while waiting for the bridegroom to come; this is also what led the Israelites to create a golden calf (false god) because Moses spent so much time up on the mountain alone with God (Matthew 25:8-9 and Hebrews 6:12).
- Youngest brother = to be like the youngest person among others is to be humble (in contrast to having an attitude of superiority and acting above everyone), this is confirmed by the fact that the brother was studying the meek and humble heart of Jesus (Matthew 18:4).
- Studying = (brother) the primary message of this dream is that God is highlighting the meek and humble heart of Jesus, which is what He wants me to focus on right now (Matthew 11:29); this is the most important starting point in learning about Jesus (2 Timothy 2:15).
- Family friend = represents a real person I know who would be literally interested in reading the Face To Face Appearances book and watching The Chosen series (Luke 11:6).

Multiple Symbols With Repeated Emphasis
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
Luke 22:31 (KJV)
This is a most remarkable dream in that the primary message has an extreme amount of emphasis placed on it due to how many of its symbols all point to the same meaning. Almost all the symbols in the setting deal with matters of the heart (fireplace, kitchen, heater / speaker, references to the book and TV series, the living room with family and my brother studying the heart of Jesus). As far as I can remember, I have never had a dream with this many internally repeated confirmations.
In the Bible, when you see someone called by their name repeatedly, it means there is an urgent message for them. This is illustrated by Jesus when He warned Peter (Simon) about satan’s plan to destroy him. In pharaoh’s dream which Joseph interpreted, there were repeated symbols that likewise indicated an urgent warning of the coming famine.
As I said at the top of this blog, God has repeatedly indicated that I am right now on the absolute threshold of crossing into my promised land. I’ve had many recent dreams all showing the details of how it will happen but, after several weeks, nothing has shown up in real life.
In the process of wanting to know why the apparent delay, God answered me in this dream by saying there are a couple last minute adjustments that I must make before He can give me what I’ve waited years for. Here is what I am to do specifically right now as this dream shows…
The Heart Of Jesus Emphasized In Book & TV Series
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:29 (KJV)
As my brother said in the dream, the most important part of learning about Jesus is by starting with His meek and humble heart. This is unfortunately not what most of us start with as Christians and as a result, we get way off track and become something Jesus never was. We either start by learning about prophecy or miracles or religious rules, neither of which are the central core of His message.
Therefore, this dream highlighted both the importance of the heart of Jesus and the action I need to take to develop these traits more fully. The instruction in the dream is very clear: the popular TV series and book are my assignment right now. The repeated emphasis in the dream proves the importance of that instruction, especially as it relates to fulfilling my purpose.
The TV series, “The Chosen“, and the book, “Face To Face Appearances From Jesus” by David E. Taylor is God’s assignment for me right now. Here are the links to the book and series…
Excerpt From Face To Face Appearances Book
To help illustrate how necessary it is that we learn the heart of Jesus, here is an excerpt from the book specifically mentioned in the dream. I strongly recommend reading it (Amazon link below)…
He Is a Perfect Gentleman
A meek person hides their nature without trying to be deceptive. They are characterized by gentleness. They do not volunteer excessive information about themselves as a form of courtesy, respect, and honor. Jesus is a perfect gentleman because He is meek. Remember, the Greek word for meekness is praus which means to be soft, and to exercise gentleness in behavior, actions, and words when dealing with others.
Meek people are soft in nature, and they exercise great restraint in saying things that could be helpful in another’s life. Meekness embodies integrity, and those who are meek allow others to pursue them, seeking out further details on their own. Being a gentleman is also being gentle in how much information you give another. If they don’t ask, meekness simply does not volunteer the information. This is how Jesus is. There are a lot of things that He would say to us, but because of His meek nature, He does not volunteer the information until He is asked or sought. This type of behavior in the earlier days of my walk with God frustrated me because I did not understand what this was, and did not recognize that it was the character of God. I didn’t realize how beautiful His personality is.
