Are you a mystery movie fan? I am. I never used to be but, in the last few years, I’ve come to like them very much. You can learn so much from their plot development and forensic deductions. Sure, most of them are fiction but, there’s plenty of truth there. Humans are somewhat predictable – we imagine fictional plots in the same way we would live them out in many cases. The higher the stakes, the more elaborate and deceptive the plot is.

Developing In A New Assignment

Several years ago, when I began my study of interpreting dreams, a girl with an astonishingly accurate prophetic gift told me I was like a Sherlock Holmes. She said (without knowing me at all) that I took things apart, examined them and put them back together again to solve mysteries. I didn’t realize it at the time but, that was one of many skills God was beginning to develop in me.

Initially, my assignment was to develop the basic ability to decode the meaning of dreams. It wasn’t long after I began working on that, that I was then handed a scientific mystery to unravel (a series of dreams leading to an invention). When the appointed time came, I was handed another mystery but, this time it was of a very different kind. That most recent one is what we are going to deal with in the coming days and weeks.

Before we do that, we need to set the stage for the scenario by establishing a few facts. As with any investigation, there is evidence to consider and people to question. There is the need to validate the reliability of testimonies and the credibility of witnesses to establish. There is the weighing of evidence and the connecting of dots to determine what really happened. These are just a few of the basics that I, without professional detective or legal training would summarize.

Regarding the form of clues to consider, let’s remember that we are dealing with the realm of the supernatural. Specifically, that includes dreams, visions and prophetic words (in addition to the normal types of natural realm evidence). I’m not trying to be overly technical here, I’m just trying to lay out the framework for the case we will be discussing now.

Investigation: Unraveling A Plot To Obscure Truth

Within the last few years, a situation developed that had all the potential for a very great outcome. Many people were going to benefit from what was about to happen, including those in the center of the anticipated arrangement. It was fully mutually beneficial and each party stood to gain something very great.

However, right from the beginning, the clues began appearing to subtly indicate that not all the parties involved were acting in good faith. Rather than going forward with the arrangement as planned, a deception appeared to be most likely in the works. One party appeared to be acting in such a way as to make the others look like they were either liars or just a bunch of clowns. Multiple conversations took place for the purpose of determining what was really going on. It was a very confusing time, not the least of which was the question about why one of the parties would actually deliberately lie to the other.

Statements from the parties involved were in total contradiction to each other. Rather than jump to the conclusion that one of the parties was lying, the detective (myself) had to consider the many ways each could be telling the truth. As time went on, additional supernatural insights appeared with partial clues about what was really going on.

The innocent parties took steps in good faith according to the original agreement which then put them in very negative positions. The ensuing disaster undermined their testimony in the face of many onlookers. Some of those were skeptical from the beginning, while others were holding judgment until the plan became real. Only a very few of the uninvolved persons were full supporters. Several very ugly and unfortunate clashes took place and a very valuable relationship was nearly destroyed. Sadly, the faith of many was destroyed at a very critical stage.

To emphasize a significant point: not at any time, was there a desire to believe one of the parties was a liar, or to believe they were acting in deliberate deceit. This was a most unthinkable possibility and it did not benefit anyone involved. Unfortunately, as time passed, and the clues mounted, it began increasingly to appear that treachery was in fact in the works right from the beginning.

With that, further details of the case will be divulged in the upcoming proceedings. This will not be a lengthy process, only enough to present the most compelling facts and reveal the final outcome.

Character Development

We are going to handle our case in a manner different from my typical style. Because of the circumstances involved, we will go step by step and use a creative approach. By the time we arrive at the conclusion of the case, you will have a good understanding the entire situation.

In the process of discussing the individual pieces of evidence, there will be some specifics omitted until a later time. Rather than invent all new fictional names, we will start with one central figure who is a combination of two from a popular TV series and a movie:

• Character fusion: Harrison Sherloque Wells (The Flash) + Benoit Blanc (Knives Out).
• Sherloque: a multiverse detective trying to help Barry Allen (“The Flash”) in his crime solving and prevention efforts.
• Benoit: a private investigator attempting to solve a murder mystery, of which the story lines almost always involve a plot surrounding a very large amount of money.

With the introduction of our case now established, we will begin next by discussing our first piece of evidence in the next post. There are many pieces of evidence for us to deal with and, as we proceed with this “trial”, we will decide which of those should be presented for discussion and documentation.

NOTE: This will not be the only case we will discuss. We expect to continue our detective theme as it applies to other appropriate matters that come up in the near future.
