Following up with our new ongoing investigative series, we are now going to examine a critical piece of evidence recently given to our detective. The evidence came in the form of a very bizarre dream. Although the interpretation was initially very confusing, an unexpected and shocking real life incident revealed its true meaning. As a result, a disturbing fact had now come to light. Let’s now examine this piece of evidence to see whether or not it agrees with our suspicion from the last discussion and what lessons we might take from it.

Rules For Supernatural Detective Work

Before we get started, we need to establish a ground rule for how this form of detective work is done. Most importantly, we are dealing with the supernatural realm, not the natural one. Our clues come from a perfect source where everything is known and there are no secrets. We are, of course, referring to the God of the Bible who created all things and knows all things. Nothing is, or can be, hidden from Him.

Therefore, our manner of detective work is very different from what you might be accustomed to. We do NOT rely on the words of a man or woman when they contradict what has been revealed by God. This is a very important point which our detective had to learn the hard way unfortunately.

Any person who denies or contradicts God’s word is a liar and they will soon be caught in their own trap and called to account by God. That is exactly what happened to a couple in the Bible who tried conspiring to lie about an amount of money they had. Because of their lie, God killed them on the spot. That same God still executes those same judgments today!

Having explained very briefly how supernatural detective work is done, we can now deal with a recent clue that may be revealing exactly what we just discussed.

Dream of Gas Flame Pipes

February 19, 2025 (1:41 am) – I’m in the living room of my childhood house and there are 2 or 3 vertical gas pipes with flames on them next to the couch by the window. I saw one of the pipes up close and then farther back. The focus was primarily on one pipe and the other 2 were much more vague and off to the side of the room. The normal lights were on in the room and it was a nighttime setting. No one else was in the room. There was an odd or even erie feeling from observing this sight.

It was almost two weeks after this dream that the meaning suddenly “came to light” (no pun intended). Initially, our hero detective started down a very different path of interpretation than what you will read below. However, once a very shocking real life incident occurred, the correct interpretation was overwhelmingly clear. For the sake of not confusing the reader, we will omit the initial incorrect interpretation and go straight to the correct one.

The setting of the childhood house is a very common one seen in many dreams and it means that we are dealing with a personal matter. The living room represents a place where conversations are held with social acquaintances. The fact that no one was in the living room was among the very strange parts of this dream. However, from past experiences, our detective knew that this strange omission meant some extra reading between the lines and dot connecting was required to arrive at the true meaning.

The most bizarre part of the dream is what we want to give our full attention to – the tall gas pipes and the flames. Let’s remember that the focus was on one of the pipes in particular, while the others were very vaguely seen off to the side. From a Biblical perspective, when you see something unusually tall, it often represents the sin of pride. We get this from the many passages that speak about King Saul (who was tall and in rebellion against God) and how it says pride causes a person to be “lifted up”.

But that one detail by itself does not really show us what is going on. In order to understand what the tall pipes mean, we must search for the meaning of the flames. As we look into that, we must figure out how the two symbols (pipes and flames) fit together and produce a verifiable and coherent message. Before we get to that, let’s not forget that the erie feeling in the dream is a very significant detail that helps us arrive at the correct interpretation.

Not one to join in with popular fads, Sherloque has always avoided popular expressions when he sees everyone else using them. Having said that, for the last 8 or so years, he kept hearing one such expression that was repeatedly used in the context of politics. Due to our hero’s avoidance of fads, at the time of this dream, Sherloque would never have associated the strange scene with what we will soon discover to be a perfect description of a very evil situation. Therefore, due to his ignorance of the expression, Sherloque did not immediately understand that the true meaning of the dream was a serious warning to him.

A Disturbing Communication Received

After initially misinterpreting the dream, all confusion over the true meaning was put to rest on a day (about two weeks after the dream) that a shocking email was sent to Sherloque by a person of interest in the case. In that email, statements were made that claimed a certain well known influential party told them they were “not allowed” to engage in a certain business agreement with the detective. Sherloque has himself had a long standing close association with the “influential party” and the claims made in the email were very hard to believe. What was said caused no small problem and it took several days to sort out what was really going on.

The statements made were in effect, an attempt to conduct a high level psychological warfare against the detective. Initially, the email did cause much confusion but, that is what led Sherloque to look up the meaning of the previously unknown faddish term. When our detective did an online search for the meaning of this (now to be revealed) expression, here is what he found:

Gaslighting: psychological manipulation of a person usually over an extended period of time that causes the victim to question the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories and typically leads to confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem, uncertainty of one’s emotional or mental stability, and a dependency on the perpetrator.

Confirmation Of A Disturbing Truth

When Sherloque read the above definition, he was shocked! It was an exact description of what happened to him when he read the email! Immediately, he knew he had been forewarned in the dream about someone lying to him about a business arrangement he had been trying to establish for the previous 2 1/2 years! Now he knew without a doubt that a plot had been made against him and, based upon other events that took place shortly after the email, he knew this was the unraveling of a much larger and disturbing reality.

Now Sherloque knew he was onto something. He was beginning to see that the individual pieces of evidence he had been accumulating for nearly 3 years were in fact, all pointing to the same thing: a deliberate plot of deception against him. Not only that but, the remaining details of the above dream were also now very clear. The nighttime setting had a dual meaning: 1) he had been “in the dark” about the, 2) evil plot against him.

The two additional (but vague) gas flames in the room represented the unsubstantiated comments in the email that claimed the “influential party” was the real perpetrator of the gaslighting. However, as stated at the top of this blog (in the rules section), the only thing that matters is what the dream shows.

The dream showed a single source of gaslighting and only alluded to the possibility of others being involved. Regardless, the dream emphasized a single source of gaslighting (the comments made by the sender of the email). Due to other pieces of evidence in this case, Sherloque now knew that any statements made by the sender of the email could never be trusted. It was now an established fact that this person of interest had proven themselves to be a liar and a deceiver.

What Will Happen Next?

Much to his dismay (and relief), Sherloque now understood why he had endured the most horrible of circumstances for the previous 2 1/2 years. He had naively given the “person of interest” the benefit of the doubt but, that proved to be a very costly mistake. The truth was now rapidly unraveling and he was able to connect several more pieces of evidence which all pointed to the same verdict.

Now we must ask some critical questions as the suspense builds in our case (queue dramatic violin music)…

• What new revelations will we encounter next?
• Will there be a surprise plot twist?
• Will additional evidence further confirm what we know now?
• What will Sherloque do in response to this newly unveiled plot of treachery?
• Will he take matters into his own hands or will he consult with a higher authority?
