Stop Being Misled. Start Thinking for Yourself.

Independent Mind is a complete, step-by-step system for cutting through bias, propaganda, and manipulation — and finally trusting your own judgment.

The Problem Nobody Talks About

Most of us were never taught how to think — only what to think.

We were handed conclusions by schools, media, governments, and institutions. And for a long time, most of us accepted them. But something has shifted. More and more people are sensing that the official story doesn’t always add up — that narratives conflict, that facts get buried, and that the pressure to simply go along with the crowd has never been stronger.

The result? Confusion. Frustration. And a growing feeling that you can’t fully trust what you’re being told — but you’re not sure what to trust instead.

Independent Mind was written to fix that.

Why I Wrote This Book

I didn’t set out to write a book on critical thinking. But over 25 years of connecting dots — from learning the real story behind the American financial system, to questioning the true motives behind certain wars, to serving as an intelligence officer in the Air Force where analytical discipline was a professional requirement — I kept running into the same problem: there was no single, simple, practical resource that taught ordinary people how to think clearly and independently.

Then 2020 arrived, and for millions of people, the need became impossible to ignore.

So, I set out to research the principles myself and I then consolidated them into the practical resource I wished had existed. This is it.

What You’ll Be Able to Do

After reading Independent Mind, you’ll have the tools to:

  • Catch yourself reacting emotionally to headlines and pause to think clearly instead
  • Spot cognitive biases — in yourself and in others — before they distort your judgment
  • Identify logical fallacies the moment they appear in arguments, news, or debates
  • Evaluate media and sources with a reliable, repeatable framework
  • Recognize propaganda techniques — classic and modern — before they take hold
  • Hold your ground against groupthink and social pressure without becoming isolated
  • Update your beliefs honestly as evidence changes, rather than clinging to a fixed position
  • Build daily habits that make independent thinking your new default

Both. It starts with fundamentals (how your brain works) and builds to advanced skills. No prior knowledge required — but experienced readers will still find new frameworks and tools.

What format should I buy?
If you like to highlight and take notes, go paperback or PDF. If you’re always on the go, Kindle or audiobook. The content is identical across all formats.

Yes — the book grew directly out of research and topics covered on the blog for years. If you’ve been following along, this is the complete, organized system behind all of it.

Is this book politically biased in any direction?
No. The tools in this book — spotting logical fallacies, recognizing propaganda, evaluating sources, resisting groupthink — apply equally regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum. The goal isn’t to push you toward any particular conclusion. It’s to give you the skills to reach your own conclusions more reliably, whatever the topic.
