Is Artificial Intelligence a Fulfillment of End Times Prophecy?

Globe with illuminated cities and blue network connection lines linking points worldwide

For years, prophecy teachers pointed to wars, earthquakes, asteroids, and moral collapse as the signs of the end times. And they were right — but most of them missed something hiding in plain sight. Something that would reshape human civilization more profoundly than any war in history. Something the Bible described with stunning accuracy thousands of years before a single line of code was ever written.

That something is Artificial Intelligence.

I’m not being dramatic. I’m being a student of both Scripture and current events — which is exactly what Jesus commanded us to be when He told His disciples to “discern the signs of the times.” So let’s do that. Let’s look at what the Bible actually says and ask the question most Christians are too uncomfortable to ask:

Is AI a fulfillment of end times prophecy?

The Image That Speaks — Revelation 13

The most striking passage in all of Scripture on this topic comes from Revelation 13:14-15, where the False Prophet causes an image of the Beast to be created — and then causes that image to “speak” and to cause all who refuse to worship it to be killed.

For centuries, Bible scholars scratched their heads at this. How could a statue speak? How could an image have that kind of power over humanity?

We now live in the first generation in human history for whom that question has an obvious, technological answer.

We are building speaking images right now. We call them AI. And the world is rapidly moving toward systems where an AI — controlled by whoever holds the reins of global power — could mandate compliance, surveil behavior, control financial access, and yes, determine who can participate in the economy and who cannot.

Sound familiar? It should. It’s Revelation 13.

The Knowledge Explosion — Daniel 12:4

The prophet Daniel was told something remarkable: “But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

This verse has always been interpreted loosely as a general prediction of a knowledge boom. But read it again in the age of AI and it takes on a completely new dimension.

AI is not just a tool that increases knowledge. It is an entity that generates knowledge — synthesizing the sum total of human learning at speeds no human mind can match. In a single generation, we have gone from card catalogs to a technology that can write a doctoral thesis, design a drug molecule, compose a symphony, and run a company — simultaneously.

The knowledge explosion Daniel saw isn’t coming. It’s here.

The Mark and the Control System — Revelation 13:16-17

“It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark.”

AI is the enforcement mechanism that makes a global control system like this actually possible for the first time in history. Think about what would have been required to implement this in any previous era — armies of human bureaucrats, impossible logistics, easy workarounds.

Today? A sufficiently powerful AI system connected to a central digital currency infrastructure could implement this overnight. No human army required. The technology that makes this possible didn’t exist ten years ago. It exists right now.

But this isn’t just about financial systems and intrusive spying. This is about robots, your smart phones and drones that can act autonomously if no safeguards are put in place. Well… safeguards. Right, we can take that off the list during the reign of the Antichrist.

How did it go during COVID-19? How did it go in the 1930’s – 40’s with Hitler? AI isn’t required when you can take over the minds of people and make them turn on each other. Mind control the masses with propaganda, emotional hype, false reasoning, scare tactics and deliberate lies that many won’t care to check out for themselves.

When I was a kid, first learning about the Antichrist, I couldn’t get past the most obvious question — how on earth can the entire world be taken over by the most evil ruler when the Bible plainly told us thousands of years ago that it would happen?? Seriously, have you never thought about that? God told us what would happen long before it does and everyone on earth has access that information. Yet… it still happens.

As I keep saying here, your future depends on your ability to learn to ask the right questions. But most never will — if they did, end times prophecy could never happen. It’s simple logic.

Should Christians Be Afraid?

No. But we should be awake.

There is a critical difference between fear and discernment. Fear paralyzes. Discernment prepares. Jesus never told His people to cower from the signs of the times — He told them to look up, because their redemption was drawing near (Luke 21:28).

I have written a little about this in my blogs (more on the way) — the fact that AI is a sign of the end times does not mean it is only an instrument of evil. Fire burns down houses and also cooks your food. The question is always: who controls it and for what purpose?

God is raising up spiritual kings right now who will go through the process of regaining the dominion over creation that was lost with Adam and Eve. Sonship. Some of those will also learn to use AI as a tool for divine purposes — for spreading the gospel at scale, for solving the world’s most complex problems, for reaching people no human missionary could ever physically reach. I believe this is part of my own calling and I have written about that extensively.

But here’s the critical thing: you cannot be used by God in the age of AI if you cannot think independently. An AI-saturated world will be the greatest manipulation environment in human history. Algorithms will shape your beliefs. Deep fakes will blur reality. Synthetic media will manufacture consent.

This is exactly why I wrote Independent Mind — a book designed to give you the practical tools you need to think clearly, critically, and independently in an age when those skills are under assault like never before in history. When you learn the principles of independent thinking, you can apply them to all areas of your life — including to spiritual matters.

The Bottom Line

Is AI a fulfillment of end times prophecy? I believe the honest, intellectually serious answer is: almost certainly yes — at minimum it is the infrastructure through which those prophecies will be fulfilled.

That is not a reason to panic. It is a reason to:

  • Study your Bible with fresh eyes
  • Learn to think for yourself before AI thinks for you
  • Position yourself on the right side of this technological moment
  • Learn to operate in the power of God and to regain our lost dominion
  • Understand your God-given calling so you cannot be redirected by artificial intelligence or anyone who controls it

The signs of the times have never been clearer. The question is whether you have the eyes to see them.

So now, if you’ve been learning to do what I say is the most important skill — you should be asking, “what has God given us to overcome this inevitable future?” If you’re a regular reader of my blogs and books, you already know the answer. Yes, the upcoming book will help but in spiritual terms, this developing series would be a great place to start: Sons Of God Rising.

Want to develop the discernment and independent thinking skills you need to navigate the age of AI? My new book Independent Mind is coming soon. Stay tuned for the announcement.

PS: You probably never suspected it but this blog was written partially by… (yep) artificial intelligence, with substantial inputs from me. If AI can figure out end times prophecy, how much more should you. Let’s come back to this topic again.
