How have the last 6 years been for you? Has your view of the world changed since 2020 or have you gone even further into a mindset of solidifying everything you have always believed? If you’re like me, much of what you believe has changed and you no longer see the world according to what “they” want you to believe. Maybe you’ve heard me tell about my “eye opening dream” a few years ago on my video channels? That was the time when one single dream confirmed I was on the right track in discerning how most of what I had been led to believe in my life was a total and deliberate lie.
The Global 2020 Awakening
Many people today share a similar story: at some point — often around 2020 or shortly after — they had a moment where they thought, “Something feels off here.” The media and the “authoritative voices” began pushing an agenda that did not make any logical sense. Many were forced to obey a set of unscientific mandates and those who refused lost their jobs. People began turning on each other and ‘reporting’ non-compliers in a manner oddly similar to Germany in the 1930’s.
But for those who began to realize something was very wrong — what followed was a turbulent period: confusion, anger, disillusionment, and a growing sense that the world was not quite what they had been told. For some, it was a crisis of trust in media, institutions, or long-held beliefs. For others, it was the painful realization that they had accepted certain ideas without truly examining them.
That’s what happened to me. It’s not that I didn’t already know something was wrong in the world, it’s just that I didn’t know it was THAT bad. This was part of my awakening phase and it was a very important shift. Many others experienced that but not everyone and for many, it was just barely the beginning.
Once you begin waking up to reality, the next stage is moving from “something feels off” to genuine intellectual freedom. It doesn’t happen overnight and it’s a process that requires more than mere skepticism. It requires learning how to think clearly and independently even when emotions run high and social pressure is strong.
As I experienced myself, the transition between waking up and fully learning to think for yourself is where many people get stuck. People begin to sense there is a problem but then, they lack a clear framework for solving the many problems that now come up. They bounce between cynicism and renewed hope, or they retreat into new echo chambers from a different group that feels safer. Still, they don’t really know what’s going on or what to do about it.
From Fog To Clarity
True progress comes when you move from reactive skepticism to proactive skill-building. This means learning to identify cognitive biases in real time, spot logical weaknesses in arguments, understand how propaganda and group pressure operate, and update your beliefs based on evidence rather than identity or emotion.
It’s the difference between feeling lost in the fog and having a reliable compass. And that is what I did not have in 2020 or any time before that. As I’ve said before, my process of learning did not happen all at once — it took years. Here’s a little more about my testimony that I’ve told once before…
At some point around 2008, as a new Air Force intelligence officer, I signed up for a master’s degree program in Strategic Intelligence. I wanted to learn as much as possible about how the whole intelligence community functioned, especially about how to conduct proper intelligence analysis. At no time previously had I ever encountered such a course and I thought that was rather odd.
Thankfully, the master’s degree program I enrolled in had a course dealing with a step-by-step method of predictive analysis and that is the first one I took. The course was very in-depth and required a ton of research. Much to my surprise, upon completing the course research project, I received the highest grade possible — a 100%. That became my first exposure to a serious college level course in thinking critically but after that, I had no luck in adding to my newly established skills.
Fast forwarding to today… I finally decided to do my own research project to find out for myself what the principles of learning to think independently might be. When I began my research, I really didn’t know if there was any good material in existence to learn this skill. For all I knew, this was a major void that no one had ever dealt with in any comprehensive manner.
Much to my surprise, there was a ton of solid information already available but, it was not in a consolidated and practical form that I could easily grab ahold of. And that’s where I knew that my research needed to be put together in such a way that it could benefit many others. So, here it is…
My Answer To Fill The Void
My upcoming book Independent Mind: A Practical Guide to Critical Thinking and Intellectual Independence was written to support exactly this journey. It provides a structured, step-by-step path that starts with understanding how your brain actually works and gradually builds more advanced tools for navigating complex information.
The book doesn’t promise easy answers or instant enlightenment. Instead, it offers practical methods you can use immediately — in conversations, while consuming news, and when making important life decisions.
As I said at the top… If you’ve had that “something feels off” moment and you’re ready for the next step — moving from awakening to steady, confident independent thinking — this book was created for you.
The journey isn’t always comfortable, but reaching the point where your beliefs are truly your own brings a deep sense of clarity and freedom that’s hard to describe until you experience it.
You don’t have to navigate the current information environment alone or blindly. With the right tools and consistent practice, you can build the kind of mind that remains steady even when external voices grow loud.
So, here’s your next step… follow this website if you want to be one of the first to get the new book when it’s released. I promise you, there’s a lot in there that will help you acquire the skills to take back your mind and think for yourself — including, the ability to identify those areas of my own mind where you have not been thinking but just reacting.
That day is almost here now…
